Be Yourself to Do Your Best

Success rests with having the courage and endurance and, above all, the will to become the person you are, however peculiar that may be.” - George Sheehan

Your best work comes from being you.
You work with more focus, effort, and creativity when you’re having fun.

When you enjoy what you’re working on,
you produce better work.

The better your work is,
the more attention it will grab.

More attention will build momentum and confidence.
Increased confidence helps you continue working on what you enjoy.

No one in the world is going to beat you at being you.” - Naval Ravikant

Sounds easy. The more true to your self you are, the more success you’ll find.

Reality is not that simple. More attention breeds distractions to lead you away from energizing ideas. You have to fight these obstacles disguised as opportunities.

The challenge is to remain focused on your work. External pressures to conform will rise but the rewards grow if you stick with it.

When the attention comes you face a choice. Do you continue what you enjoy or conform to what other successful people are doing?

Avoid this temptation and lean into what energizes you.

Do the hard work to find your own “voice.” The next challenge is to listen and commit.

Choose to work hard on what makes you feel alive. Share your gifts with the world. The world needs your talents not another version of someone else’s.

One of the distinguishing features of any courageous human being is the ability to remain unutterable themselves in the midst of conforming pressures.” - David Whyte

Just be yourself. Simple, not easy.
